Picker/Packer Storeperson needed in Australia

Brubecks Boutique Foods is looking for a dedicated and hardworking picker/packer storeperson to join its team at the company’s new facility in Murarrie, Brisbane QLD. This is a full-time day shift position offering $33–$35 per hour, with work scheduled Monday to Friday.

The role involves picking and packing customer orders for dispatch, completing basic storeperson duties, and maintaining accurate stock records. The successful applicant will work in a cold-room environment maintained at approximately 20°C and should be comfortable performing physical duties throughout the day.

Key Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include:

• Accurately picking customer orders using picking slips
• Packing cartons with the required stock
• Labelling packed cartons correctly
• Operating a forklift safely and efficiently
• Loading completed orders onto the appropriate pallets
• Placing pallets in designated dispatch zones according to run sheets
• Recording and monitoring stock levels
• Amending picking slips and driver run sheets using a computer
• Liaising with production team leaders and office staff
• Ensuring customer orders are completed accurately and in full
• Keeping the work area and cold rooms clean and organised
• Performing general maintenance and housekeeping duties
• Working safely in the cold-room environment
• Standing and walking for extended periods
• Regularly performing manual lifting of up to 15kg
• Working independently when required
• Meeting daily deadlines and dispatch requirements

Qualifications and Work Requirements

The successful applicant will need to:

• Hold a current LF Forklift Licence
• Have previous experience performing storeperson duties
• Have proven experience in picking and packing
• Demonstrate excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Have good computer skills
• Be comfortable recording and updating stock information
• Have experience working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Possess well-developed communication skills
• Be able to work effectively with production and office teams
• Demonstrate initiative and problem-solving skills
• Be self-motivated and proactive
• Have a positive, can-do attitude
• Be physically capable of regularly lifting up to 15kg
• Be comfortable working in a cold-room environment at approximately 3°C

Previous experience in food manufacturing, warehousing, cold-room operations or dispatch will be advantageous.
