Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Servicing, maintaining, and repairing light vehicles and miscellaneous equipment.
• Carrying out mechanical repairs and component repairs on different vehicles and machinery.
• Working on 4WDs, sedans, trailers, and other workshop equipment.
• Maintaining high-quality standards for all jobs completed in the workshop.
• Reducing rework and poor workmanship through careful and efficient repairs.
• Managing time effectively to maintain workshop productivity and efficiency.
• Communicating effectively with workshop staff, parts department, administration, and management.
• Identifying potential hazards and recommending improvements to workshop operations.
• Identifying additional repair and maintenance requirements during vehicle inspections.
• Supporting sales growth through appropriate up-selling and additional service opportunities.
• Completing job cards accurately for further processing.
• Discussing technical issues with customers when required.
• Working cooperatively with other members of the maintenance team.
• Following company quality systems, policies, and procedures.
• Using the company’s computer operating system.

Requirements

Candidates should have:

• Previous experience as a Mechanic or Technician.
• Relevant Mechanical Trade qualifications.
• Australian maintenance experience.
• Experience working with vehicles and mechanical equipment.
• Preferably, experience with 4WD vehicles.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
