Key Responsibilities
Your duties may include:
- Preparing, cleaning and sanding surfaces before painting.
- Repairing cracks, holes and other surface imperfections.
- Mixing paint to achieve the required colour and texture.
- Applying paint, wallpaper and other materials to interior and exterior surfaces.
- Using brushes, rollers and spray-painting equipment as required.
- Erecting scaffolding and swing stages and attaching rigging safely.
- Performing painting work at different job locations.
- Applying specialized finishes, including sign painting and sprayed coatings.
- Installing wallpaper and wood veneers where required.
- Following workplace health and safety procedures.
- Maintaining a high level of attention to detail throughout each project.
- Working cooperatively with other painters and construction team members.

Candidates should have:
- A secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- 1 year to less than 2 years of relevant painting experience.
- Experience with brush painting and roller painting.
- Experience with conventional spray painting and paint spraying.
- Knowledge of patterned rollers and multi-ratio pump spraying.
- Experience with wallpaper and wood veneer applications is an asset.
- The ability to distinguish between colours accurately.
- Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- The ability to work outdoors and at heights.
- The physical ability to bend, crouch and kneel for extended periods.
- The ability to handle weights of up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
- Flexibility and reliability.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- English language skills.
