Key Responsibilities
The successful candidates will be responsible for:
- Planning menus and estimating food requirements.
- Preparing and cooking complete meals and individual dishes.
- Preparing food for customers with allergies or food intolerances.
- Inspecting kitchen and food service areas.
- Training kitchen staff in food preparation, cooking and food handling.
- Supervising kitchen staff and helpers.
- Maintaining inventory and records for food, supplies and equipment.

Requirements
Candidates should have:
- At least 5 years of relevant cooking experience.
- A college, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma of 1 to 2 years, or equivalent experience.
- English language skills.
- Cook Trade Certification.
- Safe Food Handling Certificate.
- Food Safety Certificate.
- Experience preparing South Indian and vegetarian cuisine.
- Ability to plan menus and organize food preparation.
- Experience supervising kitchen staff and helpers.
- Strong knowledge of food handling and kitchen safety.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and good time-management skills.
