Family Doctor needed in Canada

Central Bolton Walk In Clinic is hiring a Family Doctor to join its team in Bolton, Ontario. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity for a qualified physician who can examine patients, diagnose health conditions, prescribe appropriate treatments and provide professional medical care in a clinic setting.

The position is based on site at the medical clinic, with work starting as soon as possible. The successful candidate should have a medical degree and must hold the required provincial or territorial licensing and professional credentials. Certification from the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CCFP) is also required.

Key Responsibilities

Your duties may include:

  • Examining patients to assess their health conditions and identify diseases, injuries and other medical concerns.
  • Evaluating patients’ physical and mental health based on their symptoms and medical history.
  • Ordering laboratory tests, X-rays and other diagnostic procedures when required.
  • Reviewing test results and determining appropriate medical treatment.
  • Diagnosing illnesses, injuries and other health conditions.
  • Prescribing and administering medications and medical treatments.
  • Advising patients about their health care and treatment options.
  • Helping patients develop healthy habits and make positive lifestyle changes.
  • Supporting patients in breaking unhealthy habits and improving their overall approach to wellness.
  • Consulting with other physicians and medical practitioners when specialized care or additional assessment is required.
  • Monitoring patients’ health and treatment progress.
  • Maintaining professional communication with patients and other health-care professionals.
  • Providing patient-focused medical care in accordance with professional standards.
  • Maintaining accurate and confidential patient records.
  • Following applicable workplace health, safety and medical practice standards.

Requirements

Candidates should have:

  • A degree in medicine or an applicable medical qualification.
  • Successful completion of the required medical training and examinations.
  • Certification from the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CCFP).
  • Licensure by the appropriate provincial or territorial authority.
  • Experience in family medicine is considered an asset.
  • Strong knowledge of patient assessment, diagnosis and treatment.
  • Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong clinical judgment and professional decision-making abilities.
  • The ability to communicate clearly with patients and other health-care professionals.
  • A client-focused and compassionate approach to patient care.

Candidates must meet the applicable provincial or territorial licensing requirements and hold the professional credentials required to practise as a family doctor in Ontario.

This is an on-site position, and there is no option to work remotely.
