Key Responsibilities

Your duties may include:

• Cleaning and sanitizing dishwasher mats, carts and waste disposal units.
• Clearing and cleaning tables, trays and chairs.
• Operating dishwashers to clean dishes, glassware and flatware.
• Placing clean dishes in the designated storage area.
• Washing and sanitizing dishes and other items by hand.
• Scouring pots and pans.
• Keeping records of the quantities of food used.
• Portioning and wrapping food items.
• Preparing, heating and finishing simple food items.
• Stocking refrigerators and salad bars.
• Using manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice and trim food.
• Cleaning and sanitizing kitchen work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances and equipment.
• Handling and storing cleaning products safely.
• Receiving, unpacking and storing supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards and other storage areas.
• Removing kitchen garbage and trash.
• Sweeping, mopping, washing and polishing floors.
• Washing, peeling and cutting vegetables and fruit.
• Maintaining cleanliness and sanitation throughout the kitchen.
• Supporting kitchen staff with general food preparation and cleaning duties.
• Following workplace health, safety and sanitation procedures.

Requirements
